LEE Seungchan explores a painting that stem from a critical perspective on contemporary visual cultures. Starting from his ‘Black Square’ series, which metaphorically represents today’s image ecology, he expands his artistic methodologies, anticipating unexpected outcomes and striving to explore beyond the confines of the image of ‘Black Square’.

LEE Seungchan has held solo exhibitions such as “#000000” (Dimension Variable, Seoul, 2015) and “Combicess” (Art Space HYEONG, and shift, Seoul, 2020). He has also participated in group exhibitions including “Goods” (SEJONG CENTER, Seoul, 2015), “No Matter, Paste” (413 Space, Seoul, 2018), “Allover” (HITE Collection, Seoul, 2018), and “HOI POI: Korean Contemporary Painters” (Finch Art, Kyoto, Japan, 2021).
