AN Chorong

AN Chorong explores the artistic form unique to photography under the premise that it is the medium most closely connected to everyday life. Rather than prioritizing the selection of a specific subject before taking photographs, she embraces an intuitive approach and accidental encounters. After shooting, she focuses on “revisiting” the images, materializing them through a diverse range of printed media.

AN has held solo exhibitions 《Fem》 (2022, d/p, Seoul) and 《Natural Gene》 (2020, Tastehouse, Seoul) and published a photo book of the same title and was a member of the photo collaborative duo ‘Compression and Expansion (CO/EX)’ from 2016 to 2021.
