KIM Minae

Through her sculptures and site-responsive installations, KIM Minae metaphors the inherent contradictions faced by individuals in society, often by examining the framework or system of a given environment. Her works raise compelling questions about the meaning and condition of art, particularly within the specific physical and institutional environment of a museum or gallery. She has held solo exhibitions at Atelier Hermès (Seoul, 2018) and Doosan Gallery (New York, Seoul, 2015), and her works are collected by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and Seoul Museum of Art, and etc.
